Where, Lessor is the owner and possessor of certain riding horse(s) and equipment. It is therefore mutually agreed by and between the parties here to as follows:

 

(1) The Lessor will provide

______Set of Riding Equipment (including _ saddle, _ pad, _ halter, _ lead bridle)

This agreement does not permit these horses or equipment owned by Lessor to be sold and such sale will be treated as a criminal act.

 

(2) The Lessor____will, or ___will not  (check one) shoe the horse prior to lease.

(3) The Lessor ____will, or ___will not (check one) will provide all needed health shots for the current year.

 

If horse needs changes (shoes) , Lessee agrees to pay half of the price. Any changes must be told in advance as possible.

 

(4) Lessons

The Lessor ___will,or ___ will not (check one) provide lessons.

___times/month. Lessons are not time limited but goal oriented.

If Lessor is unable to attend any lesson, there can be arranged at other times, but not a must.

 

(5) The Lessee agrees to hold harmless, defend and indemnify the Lessor against any claims or action for damage or injury resulting from the use of any horses and equipment which are subject of this agreement while such horse(s) and equipment are in the possession and under control of the Lessee. The Lesser agrees to notify the Lessee in the defense of any such claims and actions. Lessee agrees to adhere to the provisions of Indiana Statue _________ regarding liability risk inherent in equine activities._____

AN EQUINE PROFFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A PARTICIPANT ENGAGED IN AN EQUINE ACTIVITY RESULTING FROM THE RISKS INHERENT IN EQUINE ACTIVIETIES. MS.

 

(6) The Lessee agrees to keep the horse (s) at all time at the following facility,________

 

and need to ask and inform the Lessor of any other doing. It is free up to the Lessor to allow the horse (s) to be moved or to be ridden outside of the facility. In case of the violation of it, contract can be stopped without further notice. The amount of the lease is in this case not refundable. In case of any injury while in position of Lessee, the costs of any damage or lawsuits against Lessor will be 100% taken by the Lessee.  ____.

 

(7) Payment

 

Lessee shall pay the Lessor a fee in amount of  $________, payable as follows

1^st of every month. Fee will be added if not paid by the 5^th of every month. The amount of _____$ not refundable Deposit is paid/not paid.

 

8) Care of the horse

 

The Lessee agrees to take full responsibility for  the care of the horse at lessee’s expense in the time of riding. It is understood that the lessee will follow practices of good animal husbandry in protecting this animal from illness, injury or suffering. This will include all necessary attention like: cleaning and picking the hoofs before mounting, proper warm up in walk, cool down after work out-showering in summer, no food 1 hour before or after ride (only hay).

 

Owner shall not hold Lessee liable for any serious injury or death of the horse arising from events not resulting from negligence on the part of the Lessee. Lessee shall hold the Owner harmless for any injury to persons or damages to any property cause by the leased horse.

 

9) Care of Tack

 

The Lessor provides all tack for the horse. The lessee agrees to take care of the take which includes once a month to oil the leather.

 

10) Training

 

The Lessee will go with the trainings plan as much as possible. If the trainings plan can not be followed for a longer period of time the Lessor has to be informed.

 

11) Shows

 

The Lessor agrees to provide transportation to and from shows on Lessee full expense.

 

12) Illness

 

 If the leased horse is sick for a short period of time (up to 3weeks) the lessor can provide a different horse to ride on. If the rider gets sick or on vocation the lease will not stop.
